Sunrise Ridge Boat Club
By-Laws
SUNRISE RIDGE BOAT CLUB BY-LAWS

GENERAL RULES:
A. The club shall be known as the Sunrise Ridge Boat Club.
B. The club shall consist of one facility, which will remain year round.
C. The club is a non-profit organization, and no member will be allowed to use his/her stall
for personal profits.
D. Officers of the club will be elected during the spring meeting for a term of one year. A
majority of the members present at this meeting will be required for this election of
officers.
E. A majority of the members present during any meeting announced in writing to all
members of the club at least one week in advance of the meeting, will be required to set
all policies and levy assessments to members.
F. Each member must carry his own casualty, property damage and theft insurance. The
club will not be responsible for bodily injury, theft or damage to boats or personal
property.
G. No one is allowed on the pier except those members or guests actually engaged in
boating or skiing. Fishing, swimming or sun bathing on the pier is prohibited.
H. No member or guest has the right to drill, nail or deface the pier in any way or form
unless authorized by the club.
I. The official decal of the Sunrise Ridge Boat Club must be displayed on the upper
starboard corner of all members boats.
J. Club secretary will submit bills of expense yearly at the spring meeting.
K. All members are required to abide by the rules of the boat club and of the beach. If a
member ignores any of the rules and regulations of either the boat club or the beach,
he/she will be fined $25.00 for the first offense and will be subject to expulsion from the
club by a vote of the members for a second violation. This member will forfeit all money
he has in the club.

STALL REGULATIONS:
A. Under no conditions can a stall be leased to a Realty Company.
B. Stalls are leased or sold only to property owners in good standing in the Sunrise Ridge
Association, Wonder Lake, IL.
C. If a member sells his/her property in Sunrise Ridge, his/her boat stall shall revert back to
the club. The sale or leasing of said stall will be handled by the boat club.
D. Each stall is lease or purchased for $2,500.00.
a) This amount is to be paid in one payment, or ...
b) With the approval of the selling member, the new member can pay in yearly
installment of a minimum of $500.00 until paid. If the new member fails to pay in
full the $2500.00, the amount they have already paid is forfeited. Selling member is
entitled to $2,500.00 only. Any additional forfeited amounts go to club funds.
FLOTATION PIER:
A. Annual dues per member shall be $200.00 per year, due at the spring meeting, or by
June 1st.
B. Resignation must be in writing to the club. The $2,500.00 purchase price will be
refunded when the stall is sold or leased.
C. Members owing moneys for one year will be receive notification from the secretary, that
as of June 1st, our year being from June 1st to June 1st, that they would have 30 days in
which to pay their debt in full or their membership will be in jeopardy. Letter is to be
sent by registered mail.
D. Reassignment of a new stall will be according to the members seniority in the club, and
will be directed by the club.
